It’s Official… Construction Begins on the NEW Headquarter Facility Site of Yamazen Inc. and Plustech
On June 24, 2019, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the new headquarter facility site for Yamazen Inc. and Plustech in The Park at Northwest Point, Elk Grove Village, IL. The new facility is being built on approximately 7 acres in the northern part of Elk Grove Village, just south of Interstate 90.
Work has begun at the site with land improvements and environmental preparation this past week, with the expectation of having the approximately 138,000 square foot building completed by early summer 2020.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Yamazen’s local employees, the Mayor and dignitaries from Elk Grove Village, Krusinski Construction Company, real estate developer Ketone Partners, Cornerstone Architects Ltd, and Masuda Funai Law Firm. Several speakers addressed those in attendance; Senior VP of Yamazen Inc., Scott Fernandez and Executive VP and COO of Yamazen Inc., James Hansen both spoke in regard to what the new facility means to the future of Yamazen Inc., and how it will better serve their customer base in many aspects. Mayor Craig Johnson of Elk Grove Village then applauded Yamazen Inc. for making the decision to move to Elk Grove Village. Jeff Krusinski, President of Krusinski Construction Company, shared how they were ready to proceed with the new project and their partnership with Yamazen Inc. and Elk Grove Village.
Currently headquartered in Schaumburg, IL, Yamazen had remodeled and expanded its current facility to its full capacity through recent years. Officers of Yamazen looked for a way to continue on the path of growing their three main divisions; machinery, tooling and automation, including the staff expansion it would need to do so. Relocation was the answer to achieve their goals. Ketone Partners were called to assist in finding the perfect location, which ended up being 111 Northwest Point Boulevard, Elk Grove Village, IL. Cornerstone Architects, Ltd and Krusinski Construction Company took hold of the vision.
The new facility has an estimated cost of approximately $17 million for land and land improvements. Senior VP of Yamazen Inc., Scott Fernandez calls the new facility “A game changer on how the company will proceed in doing business.” The energy and excitement for what is to come is flourishing.
